Pip

This is Pip, my new budgie. He's a runner budgie, which basically means he can't grow functioning flight feathers on both his wings and tail.

Normally this is caused by French moult, but the breeder thinks it might be over-breeding as his mom wasn't supposed to have another clutch this year. Not having any flight feathers doesn't stop him though. He still thinks he can fly - which is cute, but I have to watch him very closely. I also have to exercise him regularly and pad the bottom of the cage to soften his falls.

Even though I have to take extra care in looking after him, it's worth it. He is cute, compassionate and absolutely gorgeous. I love him to pieces.
